The Red Devils are looking to make a pure power move.

Manchester United are planning to be aggressive in their chase for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, according to The Guardian.

With Napoli setting a massive €150 million valuation on their star Victor Osimhen, United reportedly now has the 29-year-old Englishman as their top priority, and when the transfer window opens June 14, the Devils plan to sign him quickly.

Contractually, Kane is close to being in the last 12 months with Tottenham.

Manchester United ownership views Kane as a superstar that will immediately make them contenders for the Premier League championship, and with the team’s manager Erik ten Hag, he’s reportedly “obsessed” with landing Kane. Also, the Red Devils plan on sparking up conversations swiftly with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to make sure negotiations don’t go deep into the summer.

It would be absolutely crazy if Manchester United pulled off a Harry Kane signing.

At this point, however, I just have a hard time seeing him leave Tottenham Hotspur, he’s been with them for so long — since 2009 to be exact.

And I hope this doesn’t happen either. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Manchester United brand, but as a sad Chelsea fan (a club who spends, spends, spends just to lose, lose, lose), I don’t really have any interest in seeing one of our rivals swimming in glory when … well … we’re not. As a sports journalist/blogger though — I won’t lie — it would be incredibly interesting to see this play out.
