New details have emerged surrounding the death of “Friends” star Matthew Perry, suggesting his body wasn’t in the hot tub for long before first responders reached him, according to TMZ.

Perry’s body was not waterlogged when first responders attended his home in Pacific Palisades and declared him dead, TMZ reported Tuesday, citing unnamed law enforcement sources. Perry had allegedly been playing pickleball at the Riviera Country Club earlier in the day, and had sent his assistant out to run an errand, according to the outlet. She returned to his home and found him unresponsive in the hot tub, TMZ reported.

Perry’s assistant is the one who dialed 911 to request the aid of a medical team, the outlet reported.

Arial video footage has since emerged, appearing to show an ambulance pulling up to Perry’s home. The medics can be seen arranging a stretcher that was later used to remove Perry’s body from the property, according to TMZ.

There were no illegal drugs located in Perry’s home, the outlet reported; however, a series of prescription drugs were allegedly found inside his residence, including anti-depressants and medications to assist with anxiety, according to TMZ.

Officials also found meds to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) inside Perry’s home, sources close to the situation told TMZ. The medication is typically used when patients have emphysema or chronic bronchitis, per the outlet.

Police also reportedly located Nicorette patches and Nicorette gum in the famous actor’s house, which seemingly strengthened Perry’s recent assertions that he’d been attempting to live a clean life without cigarettes. (RELATED: Matthew Perry’s Last Instagram Post Haunts Fans)

A medical examiner has conducted an autopsy, according to TMZ. Perry’s official cause of death is pending based on the results of a toxicology report, which is expected to take roughly six weeks, per the outlet.

Perry died Oct. 28 at the age of 54. Family, colleagues and fans across the world are mourning the actor’s passing.
