Paramount+ announced Wednesday that production has started on season three of the Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon series, “Mayor of Kingstown.”

Mayor of Kingstown” started filming in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in January and will pick up where the last season left off with the McLusky family, Paramount+ said in a press release sent to the Daily Caller. The series is one of the top-performing shows from Sheridan’s exclusive deal with Paramount+, coming in just behind “Tulsa King” and “1923.”

Jeremy Renner still leads the series, even after almost dying in a horrifically violent snow plow accident in January 2023. Renner was “completely crushed” by the Snowcat machine on New Year’s day, 2023, collapsing his chest into his torso.

The snow plow weighed at least 14,330 pounds, so it’s a miracle he’s alive, let alone able to return to work within a year of such trauma.

Renner is joined on screen by Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Nishi Munshi and more. There is no official release date for the upcoming season, but it’ll probably be some time in 2024. Sheridan has a whole host of series heading to television this year and all of them are as hotly anticipated as the last. “Mayor of Kingstown” is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch, exclusively for Paramount+.
