Country music star and “Yellowstone” actress Lainey Wilson gave a pretty miserable update about the final season of the hit cowboy drama Monday.

Just like the rest of us, Wilson doesn’t have a freaking clue about what will happen with the finale of “Yellowstone.” The Taylor Sheridan co-created drama has just a few episodes left to wrap up what has been an epic saga. But for the past few years, the entire thing has been on hold.

“I’m still waiting to find out what’s happening with ‘Yellowstone.’ I have absolutely no clue. I did talk to Kelly Reilly the other day [Beth Dutton] and you know, we’ll see what happens,” Wilson told Fox News Digital from the red carpet of the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards . “Once they give us the call – we’re there,” she added. However, this isn’t necessarily all bad news.

Wilson’s character is marginal in “Yellowstone.” She had a handful of great scenes in the last season, but she’s by no means integral to the story. She’s a love interest and probably not top of the call sheet. (RELATED: ‘Yellowstone’ Star Luke Grimes Gives Intimate Insight On Season Five)

Sheridan’s other shows, “Landman” and “Tulsa King,” are already into production for the 2024 fall schedule. There’s even a chance that “Landman” might drop in late summer should the editing team get right into their work.

Actor Ian Bohen, who plays Wilson’s love interest on the show, said in March that he thinks production will start in May, possibly June. Let’s hope he’s right and we only have one month left to go!
