Hey, who doesn’t like chicken tenders?
Boston Celtics center Al Horford is celebrating winning the NBA championship in a very unique way: by serving chicken tenders!
While his teammates are away partying and celebrating their chip in the greatest city in the world (Miami, Florida), Horford decided to stay home and give back to the Boston community, and he did so by working in fast food — at a Raising Cane’s to be exact. The 38-year-old chopped it up with fans Thursday, showing up at the Raising Cane’s on Boylston Street to work an honorary shift.
Boston outlet WBUR spoke with Horford, who is clearly humble about his experience winning a title.
“I’ve just been at home,” said Horford. “I had a bunch of my family over. Just trying to take it all in.”
