Holy hell … this dude deserves a massive raise.

Or maybe Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani can take care of it, because it was his life that was saved from a foul ball darting right towards him Wednesday night. And it wasn’t just that LA‘s bat boy saved Ohtani’s life by catching the ball, but it’s how smoothly he did it while Ohtani was absolutely freaking out. You’d think it was the bat boy getting 95+ mph fastballs thrown at him on a nightly basis.

The bat boy was propped up on the dugout stairs during the Dodgers‘ game taking on the Chicago White Sox when all of a sudden a foul ball came flaming at him. (RELATED: ‘I Can’t See Home Plate’: Yankee Fans Nearly Scrap It Out Over Annoying Little Kid Standing In The Front Row)

Ohtani was just behind the bat boy, and originally not paying attention, the ball was also zooming in his direction as well. As soon as he realized that a ball was speeding towards him, Ohtani freaked out and hopped away from the scene, while the bat boy caught it in the air while being completely cool as a cucumber.

And then to make it even more smooth, he casually hands the ball to a fan that was located near him in the seats — what a boss!

Sports franchises normally don’t operate like greedy hellbound corporations do when it comes to stuff like this, so I expect a story to come out soon about this bat boy getting the hook up.

And if not, what a disgrace! (But he will)
