Superstars Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck publicly listed their 38,000-square-foot Los Angeles mansion for sale for an eye-watering $68 million amid their suspected divorce.
The insanely enormous complex boasts 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms and was recently renovated, according to TMZ. But, who cares? No one should be looking to buy a $68 million property in this economy unless you secretly know there’s oil under the soil.
TMZ initially reported that the couple were trying to quietly sell their property off-market, which clearly didn’t work out. It took two years for J-Lo and Affleck to find the place, paying a little over $60 million in 2023. Adding in the cost of renovations, there’s no chance these guys are making much off whatever it sells for, if it sells at all.

The couple apparently stopped living together at the property in May. The space wasn’t quite to Affleck’s vibe, so he’s now rumored to be living in a rental in Brentwood that initially listed for $100,000 a month, according to Realtor. From the photos, the place looks more like an airport hangar than a home. The huge foyer leads into a myriad of rooms and alcoves, which is exactly what you need if you don’t want to spend time around your family. The kitchen, however, is to die for (except the ceilings).
Along with selling their mansion, J-Lo abruptly cancelled her tour in May, with many believing it was because her marriage was falling apart. While this is probably true, I also wonder whether anyone actually bought enough tickets for J-Lo to make money on her tour, as Forbes suggested. So, while you struggle to make ends meet in the most abysmal economy, just know that your least favorite celebrities might be going through the same ordeal. It doesn’t make things any better, but it does show how bad things are.
