You’ll be hard pushed to breathe throughout the two-and-a-half-minute trailer for “Slingshot,” which dropped online Monday.
Are you ready to lose your mind while speeding through space with Casey Affleck, Laurence Fishburne and Tomer Capone? Well, you better get ready, because “Slingshot” hits theaters on August 30 and it looks like one of the most intense, gripping films to fall out of the sky since the likes of “Interstellar,” “Gravity,” and may even give “Moon” a run for its money.
In all fairness, it was written by the same guy who brought us “Moon,” but still. The story follows Affleck’s character as he loses grip on reality aboard a potentially fatally compromised mission to Saturn’s very real moon, Titan, according to IMDB.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you have to be crazy to go to space in the first place. But if you were going to go, you probably couldn’t ask for a more interesting cast of characters to join you. (RELATED: ‘VEEP’ Clips Go Viral As America Dry-Heaves At Kamala’s Potential Nomination)
Affleck, Fishburne and Tomer are joined on screen with David Morissey. This casting pretty much guarantees your wives and girlfriends will want to watch this one with ya, lads. Every major food group of male is represented, crossing every demographic of attractive. And Tomer walks that fine line between babygirl and rat boy summer.

The scariest part of this film is that, currently (at time of writing), astronauts are actually stranded on the International Space Station (ISS) with no means of getting home. NASA’s Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore said in early July that they are hopeful of a return to Earth soon but NASA and Boeing keep delaying the return date due to problems with the company’s tech aboard their spacecraft.
The two team members were only supposed to be on the ISS for about a week. That was back in early June. NASA said on Monday that they have no way of knowing when the astronauts will return home, according to the BBC.
