A 54-year-old man died when his golf cart overturned on an embankment in his backyard Sunday, Virginia State Police (VSP) told the Daily Caller.
Robert Jude Vandornick, the deceased man, was trying to round a curve on a hill with his cart. The vehicle turned over and landed on Vandornick “where he succumbed to his injuries,” Sgt. The VSP told WTKR 3 News that they ruled out Vandornick having a medical episode as a cause of the crash.
Bonnye Mavis Lear, a 60-year-old Disney employee, died after falling off a moving golf cart at the Disneyland Resort in California in June.
“We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our sincere condolences to everyone who cared for her,” Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock told the Daily Caller.
An allegedly drunk driver slammed into a golf cart carrying a newlywed couple and killed the bride April 28. The groom was seriously injured in the incident. Three other people in the golf car were also injured.
“I was handed [the groom] Aric’s wedding ring in a plastic bag at the hospital, five hours after Sam placed it on his finger and they read each other their vows,” Annette Hutchinson, the mother of the groom, wrote on a GoFundMe page.
