NEW YORK (AP) — The FBI’s most wanted are staring at tourists in Times Square.

The agency unveiled a digital billboard there Friday featuring pictures of fugitives. It also plans to use it to flash pictures of missing persons and to publicize high-priority security messages.

The FBI has used other billboards across the country to generate tips. It says at least 30 cases have been solved because of them.

The head of the FBI’s New York office, Joseph Demarest, says the Times Square billboard makes sense because it will be seen by the millions of people who pass through there.
