Former state senate President Tom Lee, R-Brandon, had some interesting insight as a panelist on WEDU’s Florida This Week program this weekend. Lee was among the legislative leaders who used to have a party credit card, and he suggested typical voters unaccustomed to the way politicians raise money might be less than inspired if they learned what was on people’s party-issued credit cards and how political elites operate.

“To put that out in the public right now would be political suicide. If the FDLE wants to get into it, I’m all for that. If the IRS wants to get into it, I think that’s appropriate.”
