MEXICO CITY — Children greatly outnumbered adults on the tarmac when Michelle Obama touched down here Tuesday night, and that was to continue to be the case for much of her first solo foray out of the United States as first lady.
Mexican elementary school students prepared dance moves and songs for Mrs. Obama on Wednesday morning. University students readied for an afternoon address she was to deliver. As she makes her way around this chaotic capital, her message is clear: it is the younger generation, in Mexico and elsewhere, who will solve the woes of today.
