Making the rounds this morning is a Pew Research Center poll in which “nearly 80 percent of Americans say they can’t ‘trust Washington’ and they have little faith that the massive federal bureaucracy can solve the nation’s ills.” The poll contained a smidgen of hope, however, for people who like to take other people’s money and wipe their butts with it. According to the AP, “the survey found that just 22 percent of those questioned say they can trust Washington almost always or most of the time and just 19 percent say they are basically content with it. Nearly half say the government negatively effects their daily lives, a sentiment that’s grown over the past dozen years.” Bill Clinton probably hasn’t seen this poll, or else why did he write that Biblical allegory for the New York Times opinion section comparing Tea Partiers to Timothy McVeigh/Satan? Holy crap, Bill, AMERICA HATES AMERICA NOW!
