Terrorist classifieds: ‘Wanted – competent triggerman’

What do the shoe bomber, the underpants bomber and Saturday’s SUV bomber in Times Square have in common? Projectile dysfunction.

It seems that for all the technological shortcomings caused by the Islamofascist contempt for modernity, the one that is becoming most embarrassing for them is the failure of their engineers to design a simple trigger to explode a bomb.

Apparently, real terrorists don’t Google.

Of course while I point my finger and ridicule their ineptness, I also thank God for it. And then I realize how close they are.

The shoe bomber had the explosives on the plane, and had his trigger worked, everyone aboard would be dead.

The underpants bomber had the explosives on the plane, and had his trigger worked, everyone aboard would be dead.

Saturday’s SUV bomber had all the explosives in place, and had his trigger worked, the fireball likely would have killed people.

What this highlights is that we are always in real jeopardy from these bastards. In each case our detection precautions, whatever they may be, failed. We did not save ourselves – we were lucky. It matters not whether providence, divine intervention or Jihadi-ignorati shorted the trigger. All we are certain of is that it wasn’t us. That puts us out of control of our own safety.

That’s scary.

Think it through – once these dimwitted denizens of death learn to flip a switch, they will start killing us. Our defensive precautions will have to turn to the offensive persuasion. That means more war.

They’re leaving us no choice.
