Democrats prepare to attack GOP on Tampa choice for 2012 RNC convention

Democrats are preparing efforts to hammer the GOP over its reported selection of Tampa as the location of its 2012 convention, pointing to benefits the city and the state of Florida reaped from stimulus and healthcare reform legislation.

Democrats seized on an expected decision this afternoon by members of a Republican National Committee (RNC) steering committee that will recommend Tampa as the site of their nominating convention.

The selection would put the RNC in the middle of a key battleground state while they nominate their next presidential candidate, though this year’s elections provide plenty of GOP drama in the state.

The Dems are PO’d that the RNC didn’t pick Arizona, so they could hammer them about picking a place that has made racial profiling chic! Even though we all know the legislation Arizona passed has nothing in it about racial profiling at all.

The Dems are always over reaching and trying to figure out a way to hammer the R’s. One thing the Dems do not understand is the fact that the RNC will bring huge dollars to Tampa/St. Pete area and there are a lot of Hispanics and blacks who work for the service industry there and will reap big tips and dollars themselves. The Dems are a lost bunch! They hate small business and they really hate Florida.

I don’t get criticism, so wat Tampa got funs from d stimulus so did hundreds of other cities it shouldn’t disqualify them, it will be good for the local economy so wats d problem. These dems are reaching a bit…..its sily

The democroaches can figure they caught the GOP in some sort of hypocrisy because the convention is going to Tampa????

That rigorous reasoning will convince citizens to vote for the dems??

That’s going to work – I never quite understood the Dems thinking that everyone should be grateful to them for handing out other peoples money – especially the ones they took it from

there is a difference between “creating a job” and stealing money from my grandchildren to hire a bureaucrat. That difference is lost on democrats and many in Tampa probably know this

So now they want to attack Tampa. I think they are running out of voters to attack so now are attacking cities.
