ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. — A local tractor-trailer driver has been arrested and charged with two counts of driving under the influence after he almost ran other vehicles off the road, troopers said.
The Florida Highway Patrol said Curtis Hamilton, 51, was pulled over after they witnessed the truck drifting over all three northbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Alachua County.
Hamilton said he drank a beer while driving to stay awake.
