EDGARTOWN, Mass. (AP) — Even rain and darkening skies didn’t keep President Barack Obama from another appointed round of golf, as he continued his Martha’s Vineyard vacation.

The president teed off Sunday morning at Vineyard Golf Club in a foursome that included longtime Chicago pal Eric Whitaker and a local golf regular, Bill Lewis. And they kept playing despite thick clouds and occasionally heavy rain.

By early afternoon, Obama was back at Blue Heron Farm — his rented holiday compound — and reporters were told he was in for the day.

Shunning the island social and restaurant scene, Obama has dined with his family at the farm each of his four evenings on the island off Cape Cod.
