Making peace between religions is a joint effort

We got through the weekend without too many burned Korans, at least here in the States. It was a different story down under, though. ToowoombaNews.com.au, which actually exists, reports the following:

WHILE an American preacher placed himself at the centre of an international storm by threatening to burn copies of the Koran over the weekend, a lawyer who works at Queensland University of Technology has posted an internet video of himself using a page from the Muslim holy book to roll and smoke what appears to be a joint.

And just to be fair, 29-year-old Alex Stewart did the same thing with a page cut from the Bible…

“It’s just a f…ing book, who cares,” Mr Stewart told the Brisbane Times.

“Like you can burn a flag and no one cares, people get over it so with respect to books like the Bible, the Koran, or whatever, just get over it.”

The video has been deleted from YouTube, at least for now. Which is good, because you know how violent those Christians can get when you desecrate their holy book. If this gets out, his hands will be even redder than his eyes.
