Tea Party Express announces last bus tour

The Tea Party Express, a group behind some of the biggest Republican primary upsets this election cycle, has unveiled the locations of its cross country bus tour set to take place in battleground states in the two-weeks leading up to election day in November.

The “Tea Party Express IV: Liberty At The Ballot Box,” national bus tour will begin Oct. 18 in Nevada, where Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle — who won her nomination after the Tea Party Express put its resources behind her — is facing Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Of the 17 states where the bus will make stops, events will be held in Kentucky and Delaware, where Tea Party favorites Rand Paul and Christine O’Donnell are running for Senate, respectively. Speakers have not yet been announced.

The Tea Party Express is a Sacramento-based organization that has helped spur stunning victories against establishment Republicans in primaries this election cycle, especially in Nevada, Alaska and Delaware. Observers will be looking to see if the group can harness the same energy against Democrats in November.
