Many puns have been made on the rather humorless WikiLeaks scandal, but perhaps the most amusing response to the situation is a new Pakistani feminine product advertisement that compares the United States government to a sanitary pad.

Pakistani advertisers for the feminine hygiene company Butterfly have just released a WikiLeaks inspired billboard with a photo of a Maxi-Pad alongside the words, “WikiLeaks…Butterfly Doesn’t.”

WikiLeaks is a non-profit media organization that provides otherwise unavailable news, documents, and private information to the public. Though WikiLeaks launched in 2006, it has been the subject of much controversy and press in 2010.

“We have received a huge response from the public and everyone has commended us on it,” said Syed Amjad Hussain, head of business development at RG Blue Communications, which came up with the advertisement for Butterfly.

Hussain has described the media response to the new advertisement as “great.”
