Judith Miller, formerly a reporter for The New York Times, has been hired by Newsmax magazine. Miller will be a contributing writer, with a focus on national security and foreign relations.

In 2005, Miller resigned from the New York Times after giving testimony in the Lewis “Scooter” Libby trial, revealing that he had disclosed information about a CIA operative. Prior, she spent 85 days in jail for refusing to testify. Miller had drawn fire from the left for her reporting on weapons of mass destruction in the run-up to the Iraq war.

In October 2008, Miller was hired by Fox News Channel as a contributor and appears frequently on the network’s weekend program, “Fox News Watch.” She is also an adjunct fellow at the Manhattan Institute.

Miller’s first article for Newsmax will appear in the January 2011 issue – a story about the Middle Eastern drug trade and the experiences of one man, international drug cop John Myers.
