John Mellencamp & supermodel wife split

It’s not all engagement news this holiday: Singer John Mellencamp and wife Elaine have decided to separate after 18 years of marriage.

They “are proud of their 20 years together and are very happy with their accomplishments both as parents and as a family,” according to the statement Mellencamp’s spokesperson Bob Merlis gave The Hollywood Reporter. “They will continue to raise their two children in Indiana but have decided to call it a day as a couple.”
