Ron Paul reintroduces measure to audit Fed

Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) said Wednesday he has reintroduced his legislation that would require a full audit for the Federal Reserve.

Paul announced the news in a message to his Twitter followers. The text of the bill has not yet been released.

The libertarian congressman was forced to reintroduce the measure since the bill was not passed in the last Congress. It is unclear how much support the measure would have in the new GOP-led House, but it at least gives him an opportunity to press for greater oversight of the central bank.
