Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is preparing to resume flight operations after icy weather grounded flights for about an hour there this morning.

The Associated Press reports “DFW Airport spokesman David Magana says one runway has reopened after the temporary closure .. and crews are working to clear the ice from others.”

AP adds that “the airport, the eighth largest in the world, is the main hub for American Airlines. Earlier Tuesday, hundreds of incoming flights were canceled due to the massive winter storm sweeping much of the country.”
