Michelle Obama to promote breastfeeding as IRS gives tax breaks for nursing

First lady Michelle Obama will be speaking out to remove barriers to breastfeeding, Politics Daily has learned, throwing the spotlight on nursing as a way to reduce childhood obesity.

This comes as the Obama administration in the past year has made several moves to encourage breastfeeding — including a push for more flexible workplace rules and an Internal Revenue Service ruling on Thursday that breast pumps and other nursing supplies qualify for tax breaks.

Mrs. Obama — who has spoken in public about nursing her youngest daughter, Sasha — is going to tread carefully in what might be a sensitive area for some women — and not use her bully pulpit to directly ask more women to breast feed.

“Breastfeeding is a very personal choice for every woman,” Kristina Schake, Mrs. Obama’s communications chief, told Politics Daily. “We are trying to make it easier for those who choose to do it.”

Republicans are now anti-health kid and anti-poor mothers.

I know how to make more baby mommas breastfeed. Cut them off !!! No more WIC no more welfare, no free cell phones to call more baby daddys. No free anything. It might even cut down on babies if they had to get off their backs and WORK !!!

it isn’t the part about breastfeeding, that has people upset, it is that Mrs. Obama is constantly finding ways to tell us what we should and should not be doing.

when for the most part, she does not practice what she preaches.

she tells us what we should feed our families, and all the while her and her husband, eat as they damn well choose to.

it is her do as I say, not as I do attitude that angers a lot of us.

What she really wants is for all of us to be breast feeding from the giant government teat. What she’s babbling about now is just kind of a metaphorical thing.

Notice that the IRS is involved? Apparently they will be installing milk meters on the breasts of those who want the tax break.

      Bravo – exactly.

Yet without her pointed guidance we have all managed to survive……go figure.

She’s having the same effect on my ears as Barney Frank at this point!

Big Mama Michelle and the word BREAST used in the same sentence?

Damn…really wish I hadn’t read this article AFTER I had eaten my lunch!

Now I can understand why “You Lie!” hussein’s outrageous budget plan calls for adding more than 5000 new IRS agents. They will go door to door across American checking to make sure that women are breast feeding their babies according to the RULE OF MICHELLE.

I wonder if the IRS will require a log, you know like the mileage log they require for deducting business travel. In the log their a way to track percentage use of each breast, cleaning supplies etc. Then when deducting the cost of nursing bras women could figure the percentage of “business use” of each nursing bra and deduct the percentage that was for “personal use” (i.e. pleasure use). Of course there would have to be evidence for their deduction. If bras were just ordinary bras and not nursing bras, those may not be deductible unless the women could prove “business use” of the bra to feed her baby.

Hey Michelle, I don’t want us men left out. Are we going to be able to deduct gym memberships, baseball bats, workout clothes, gym mats, sweat bands…? There are a lot of overweight men and this could be an incentive to get men into exercise.

perhaps they may even want to know which breasts the babies prefer, the LEFT or the RIGHT lol

Sorry, Michelle, you ain’t no Hilary. And all this postering you are doing is nothing more than an ill attempt to glorify your name. You think Ms. Clinton did it so can you.
