There are worse misfortunes than being ignored at the Academy Awards, unless of course you’re two-time winner Meryl Streep, who has been nominated 16 times and hasn’t taken home an Oscar since 1982. Her situation is brutal because she knows what it’s like to win, yet hasn’t achieved this glory in nearly 30 years.
Streep isn’t the only outstanding entertainer who has been overlooked by the Oscar selection committee.
