Adventures in Civility: The scene Wednesday night at the Wisconsin State Capitol building

Font Size:

Here’s what you do when a vote doesn’t go your way:

The building was closed, by the way. They had to break in.

I would like to hear some more lectures from the left about appropriate behavior now.

P.S. As John McCormack puts it: Protesters Push State Troopers in Wisconsin Capitol, Then Shout “Peaceful! Peaceful!”

P.P.S. I came up with a few chants for the protesters, because you can’t have a protest without some chants:

“For the unions we are shilling! We just broke into this building!”
“The people! United! Are woefully shortsighted!”
“We are chanting, we are screaming, please don’t wake us from our dreaming!”
“That’s alright, that’s okay, we can confirm your stereotypes all day!”

P.P.P.S. From the MacIver Institute’s Facebook:

MNS reporter Bill Osmulski caught protesters attempting to take pins out of the hinges of the doors at the State Street Capitol entrance. Crowd then harassed him as a ‘teabagger’ trying to make them look bad.

P.P.P.P.S. Ann Althouse: Protesters are locking the Capitol doors shut from the inside using metal handcuffs.

P.P.P.P.P.S. A very civil death threat against Republican lawmakers.
