The world of the celebrity is one filled with hijinks and questionable life decisions, and from his own reformed perch Michael Vick is now imparting advice to troubled celebrities of notoriety like Charlie Sheen and Chris Brown.

In an interview with Lee Hawkins of the Wall Street Journal, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback dishes about getting his life back on track and rebuilding his image after serving 18 months in prison on dog fighting and conspiracy charges. Chris Brown’s famous temper and Charlie Sheen’s general insanity will cease plaguing them as soon as the R&B star and the actor find God, Vick said.

He offered the following advice to Brown:

“Just put your faith in God,” Vick told WSJ. “Don’t worry about what people say about you. Words will never hurt you. The things that people can say out of their mouth can cut you deep. And sometimes a tongue can be sharper than a knife. But at the same time, you should never allow that to push you over the edge. You should have more self-control. You control your own destiny. You’re still admired by so many people.”

That’s deep.
