Summer box office babes [SLIDESHOW]

Hollywood glamour girls, both old and new, are steaming up the silver screen this summer.

Craving some action? Check out Blake Lively in the comic book blockbuster, “Green Lantern,” or January Jones’ portrayal of the infamous White Queen in “X-Men: First Class.”

In the mood for a drama? Olivia Wilde will keep you on the edge of your seat in the upcoming sci-fi Western, “Cowboys and Aliens.” Say farewell to your favorite female fictional wizard, Emma Watson, in the last installment of the Harry Potter series.

Hollywood starlets are also bringing the laughs this summer, like Mila Kunis in “Friends with Benefits,” or Cameron Diaz in “Bad Teacher.”

Whichever genre you prefer, take a look at the sexy celebs whose summer flicks will having you running to an air-conditioned movie theater on even the sunniest of summer days.

  • Hollywood glamor girls Leighton Meester, Selena Gomez, and Katie Cassidy play three friends posing as wealthy socialites while on vacation in Monaco in this summer's romantic comedy, "Monte Carlo." The film, based on the novel "Headhunters," will be released on July 1.
  • America's sweetheart, Julia Roberts, returns to the box office in this summer's romantic comedy "Larry Crowe." Tom Hanks wrote, directed, and co-stars alongside Roberts in the flick which tells the story of a Navy vet who enrolls in community college.
  • Victoria's Secret supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whitely will make her big screen debut in "Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon" on June 29. Rosie, who replaced Megan Fox, will play Shia LaBeouf's love interest in the high-action flick.
  • Emma Stone will star alongside Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling in the romantic comedy, "Crazy Stupid Love," which hits theaters on July 29. Stone plays Gosling's love interest in the flick, and their roles have recently sparked rumors of an off-screen romance.
  • Olivia Wilde returns to the big screen in the highly-anticipated science fiction Western film, "Cowboys and Aliens." Wilde will star alongside fellow A-listers Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig. The film is set to premiere on July 29.
  • Jennifer Aniston stars alongside an all-male cast of A-listers such as Jason Bateman, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, Jason Sudeikis, and Kevin Spacey, in the upcoming comedy "Horrible Bosses." The film, about friends conspiring to murder their bosses, hits theaters on July 8.
  • January Jones will play the telepathic but troubled, Emma Frost, in the highly-anticipated film "X-Men: First Class." Jones' character is known not only for her supernatural powers, but also for her refusal to wear anything but white lingerie. The flick premiered on June 3rd and grossed $55 million in it's first weekend.
  • The beautiful Mila Kunis returns to the big screen on July 22 in the romantic comedy, "Friends with Benefits." Kunis plays the best friend of Justin Timberlake, but their friendship quickly evolves into a (you guessed it,) romantic relationship.
  • Emma Watson will reprise her role as Hermione Granger in the seventh installment of the 'Harry Potter' series. The busy 21-year-old star managed filming while attending the prestigious Brown University.  "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part II" hits theaters on July 15.
  • Cameron Diaz will play an unconventional teacher in the upcoming comedy "Bad Teacher." The film, which hits theaters on June 24, also stars Justin Timberlake Jason Segel.
  • On June 17, Blake Lively will star as Carol Ferris in the upcoming superhero flick, "Green Lantern."  Early reviews have been very positive, and Lively already took home a CinemaCon Award for her performance.
  • Spanish bombshell Penelope Cruz is currently starring in the recent box office smash, "Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides." Reviews have been mostly positive, and Box Office Magazine said, "Cruz and Depp sizzle on screen."
