Sarah Jessica Parker may be down for a third “Sex and the City” film, but co-star Kim Cattrall isn’t so enthusiastic about the possibility.

“I don’t know if it will happen,” Cattrall told PerezHilton. “I really, really have no idea.”

Cattrall, who portrays a washed out aging porn star in the upcoming “Meet Monica Velour,” says she adores her randy SATC character, Samantha Jones, a saucy single lady who enjoys sleeping around.

“I love playing Samantha Jones,” Cattrall told the site. “I would love playing Samantha Jones again, but I don’t know if I will.”

Cattrall said she and fellow SATC cast mates were not married to the wildly popular show, which aired on HBO from 1998 until 2004 and had six seasons.

“The four of us were not set for life,” Cattrall said of herself, Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon. “We were on cable TV and we were not making nearly what our counterparts in television were making. I thought we were working damn hard and it was the time to negotiate that.”

But Parker and Cattrall seem to be on a different wavelength. Parker, who plays SATC’s leading lady Carrie Bradshaw, says the story isn’t over.

“I would go back,” Parker told the Los Angeles Times in February. “I think there’s one more story to tell. I know there is.”

Parker said the third flick probably wouldn’t happen for a few years.

“I’d definitely tell that [third] story, and I know [director] Michael would do it right,” Parker said. “But maybe not now. Maybe in five years, you know?”

Parker clarified that the gap wouldn’t indicate she’s escaping SATC.

“It’s not that I want to get away from it,” Parker said. “In a million years, who could get away from it?”
