Yesterday, as the Republican Assistant Majority Leader of the Wisconsin Senate stood to speak on the state budget, a heckler in the gallery accused the Republican party of fascism. Fascism!
“What happened to our GOP? You’re F-A-S-C-I-S-T,” she shouted at Sen. Glenn Grothman. “Fascist, fascist, fascist!” As terrified kids (probably mortified that an adult could behave like that) looked on in the background, the woman left voluntarily, even getting a pat on the back from another guy in the gallery.
But she couldn’t help herself. As she exited, she went into the chant again before finally being removed by police.
