Reports conflict about Glenn Beck buying or renting

Where will Glenn Beck go now that his days at Fox News have come to an end? We have answers!

Beck has apparently had enough of New York, Connecticut and the rest of the East Coast and is moving to Texas, though there are conflicting reports as to what exactly his living arrangement will be. (Fox News announces new show to replace Glenn Beck’s primetime spot)

Business Insider reports Beck purchased a $3.9 million, 7,900 square foot home in Westlake. The house is equipped with seven bedrooms, as many bathrooms, a sunroom, a home gym, and a detached guest house. The estate, which covers two acres, also comes with a steam room and, of course, a huge pool.

Curbed, meanwhile, reports that Beck is simply renting the house, owned by former MLB player Jorge Piedra and his wife Vanessa, heiress to the Swarovski fortune. The cost to rent: a cool $20,000 a month. No word on whether or not that includes utilities.

Regardless of whether Beck owns the place or is just renting, one thing’s for sure: the guy can afford it. AOL reports that in 2009, Beck made an astounding $32 million.

Beck is a media genius and will excell at anything he gets involved with. Talk about a spooky dude, Glenn is part phycic and part circus clown with a splash of Emmanuel Kant thrown in. He is one of the most fascinating figures on television today and one who truely thinks outside the proverbial box. See you on September 12, Glenn, on GBTV!

    Enjoy Texas!

Does reading the news lead you to believe you really know what’s going on in America?

This may be shocking, but here are 5 things you’re most likely wrong about.

You never heard of Sarah Palin before she was announced as McCain’s running mate. If you believe that her name is really Sarah Palin, you’re wrong.

Palin and McCain said they were going to reform Washington. If you think they were going to do this by getting elected, you’re wrong.

Obama disappeared for 2 weeks after winning the election only to reappear looking exhausted sitting next to John McCain, with a bad poker face, for a press photo shoot. If you believe Obama has free will and the feds aren’t writing his teleprompter, you’re wrong.

If you believe that we caught Bin Laden immediately following the release of Obama’s birth certificate, you’re wrong.

If you believe that the feds haven’t recruited editors, journalists, and moderators to write the headlines and control the commenting on major news sites in an effort to suppress this information, you’re very wrong.

This is what our federal government doesn’t want leaking out

After checking out the url you refer to in your post, I can’t get the theme song to the Twilight Zone by Manhattan Transfer out f my head….

  • truebearing

Beck is smart. In Texas he won’t get taxed to death as he builds his media empire. I wish him all of the best.

  • Hamilton-Jeffersonian

I didn’t think it was possible to make the collective IQ of Texas drop even more. But, well, here we are.

    • truebearing

You could move there. That certainly wouldn’t help the average.

Why don’t you go to Texas and make your opinion known, in person, everywhere you go? I’ll do a documentary on it. I guess the name “Jackass” has been taken, but I could name it “Toothless”, or Dumbass”.

Let me know when you’re ready to go. I could use a good laugh.

    • albore

Er, the state that is creating 38% of ALL jobs nationwide has a low IQ?

and in your little mental midget fantasies, does that mean libtard lala land failures such as California or New York that people are not just leaving, but running away from as fat as their feet can take them are sooooooo superior?

Typical libtard…. sooo stupid that they call the successful stupid, but the complete failures are geniuses, as long as they follow the George Soros agenda…

Welcome to Texas, Mr. Beck. That’s a great location in North Texas and close enough to DFW where you can fly to either coast under 4 hours. By the way Quantas announced in May you can fly NON-STOP to the Land of Oz. It’s a short 16 hour flight! LOL!.

  • johno413

Now that Beck has fully shed the shackles of TV, what reason does he have to live in NYC or LA? He can run his “empire” from any location he chooses. Even his radio show can be broadcast from Dallas if he chooses.

I can’t imagine the reverse – that he would stay in CT or NY and continue to give tax money to them.

  • lukuj

Welcome to Texas, Glenn! I know you won’t miss the high taxes and loony liberals of New York one bit.

  • diamndgirl

Wherever you go, whatever you do Beck, a huge thank-you for helping to expose much the msm remained and remains to be silent about, plus a huge thanks for Wake-Up millions in America.

    Job well done!

We’ll see ya on down the road to your next endeavor.

    • redbankrick

Thanks yes; but for the sake of accuracy almost every story about Rev. Wright, Van Jones, et. al were not broken by Beck, nor empty suit Sean Hannity; both w/ their declining radio & tv audiences. Those were broken by WORLD NET DAILY, along w/ all of the commie & bizarro czars like the comminications director who hearts Mao, the anti-business Manufacturing czar that also channels Mao;the militant homosexual, associated w/ pedophiles that Obummer appointed Safe Schools Czar; the Hugo Chavez loving FCC Diversity czar; the czar that thinks poor people should be sterilized and infants are not humans until later in life; the administration officials that are anti-Israel; officials that are eco nuts, etc., etc… so to be accurate thank you WND; and good luck Glenn Beck.

      • johno413

Really, ALL comes from WND? Well, then, to be further accurate, those “empty suits” people with declining listeners are responsible for anyone at all knowing about the facts and events you mention. Had only WND been communicating them no one would know. Only the most radical, loosely hinged folks would have read such information. And when they enter blogs to pass that information along, no one believes them. I’m not an “acolyte” of Hannity or Beck, etc., but their audience makes WND look like a tiny partisan blog site. Well, um…….

        • redbankrick

You are right WND has a smaller audience granted, and to be accurate only empty suit Sean Hannity was called an empty suit. To be on point re: declining audiences Rush has lost 33%, Hannity 28% over the last 6 months…this according to the Bible of broadcasting Arbitron. They certainly use it when they are up. As to the Neilsen ratings here’s the latest from DRUDGE ( a man w/ growing audience, as are the Breitbart sites):
          FOXNEWS OREILLY/INGRAHAM 2,330,000
          CNNHN NANCY GRACE 2,242,000
          FOXNEWS HANNITY 1,967,000
          FOXNEWS BAIER 1,697,000
          FOXNEWS BECK 1,691,000
          CNNHN DR DREW 1,667,000
Hannity is behind Nancy WHO??? And Beck is almost tied w/ Dr. Drew; I don’t even know what those shows are, but they are creeping up on FOX; Beck BTW used to always be over 2M. Hannity’s radio show was pulled in Philly; Beck was pulled in my hometown of NYC, w/ a wide range signal inluding NJ, Conn. Pa…and on 5 different stations, incl. Philly..some attribute Van Jones boycott of Beck, in which he had 100 advertisers drop their sponsorships; Media Matters who has IRS non-profit status is also doing a Fox boycott. As an activist I have participated in demos against the MSM in NYC by an organization called OPERATION CAN YOU HEAR US NOW-they organized nation-wide picketing and email writing campaigns from NYC to CNN in Atlanta..then they mysteriously folded (do a web search); I also participated last year in an anemic effort by Brent Bozell/MRC as we picketed the NY Slimes and NBC headquarters, there is no follow-up, and to me appeared to be a fundraising stunt. So, unless the right takes an attack against the MSM seriously, they will match Obummers 1B, w/ 2B of free advertising by giving him glowing reviews while our side gets creamed every time we don’t dot our “i”s. So I’m telling you their audiences are down, and I’m also telling you that as a conservative I don’t have to be a Fox fan, as a former media person and an activist I can tell you that they are only performing at 50-60%, nothing bold & fresh there..if you want that go to Drudge, American Thinker, here and the Breitbart sites (esp. Breitbart TV)…ok that’s settled. Secondly, it was WND w/ their small audience that broke those stories and then Fox magnified them w/ their larger, but now declining audience. We, if honest must give credit where credit is due…also I like Beck & use the Blaze alot on my blog; but even here on DC there has been a story of him taking credit for other people’s work. Let’s build this movement, by organizing and putting boots to the ground as I often do w/ the Tea Party, anti-WTC mosque and anti-illegal alien rallies and campaigns. And figure out a campaign to attack the left, not anemically but w/ the force that Jones and Media Matters are applying. So thanks to both WND & Good Luck to Beck as he journeys into uncharted waters.

          • truebearing

Beck got a lot of his stuff from David Horowitz. He has a huge number of sources besides WND, and WND uses other sources as well.

      • StargazerInSavannah

Sorry dick, but fact is that every story broken by Beck was dead on. There was not a single instance where one of the Marxists called on the ‘red phone’. You folks had a chance to disprove the exposures made by Glenn and his crew but could not find a single instance where he was in error. Even in the case of communist Van Jones, Glenn caught his singular slip up and corrected it before the red phone rang.
Marxist twits still blow smoke without fire. You should withdraw back to the Ivy halls of the Ivy League where Marxists prosper so. Marxist theoretical clap trap always fades quickly when subjected to sunlight.. Marxist economic policy has failed here just as it did every previous time.

        • redbankrick

Not for star but for true^^^ as there was no reply button on savannah’s post, thanks for the other source that Beck uses— and for those bloggers sitting in their underwear in basements and will pop up to call conservatives that don’t care for Fox, Rush, etc. as “progressives”, etc..and are not themselves activists but name callers, know that other conservatives (the so called biggies) have complained about Beck using their properties see:

TheDC Exclusive: Conservatives hit Beck for taking content without attribution

          http://dailycaller.com/2011/04/18/thedc-exclusive-conservatives-hit-beck-for-taking-content-without-attribution/

So Breitbart, the excellent Pajamas Media, and others are all pinkos now…no, not pinkos just stating disturbing information. And we are not responsible for many slides downward, it may be as I stated above effective boycotts, combined w/ non bold & fresh approaches…

          • redbankrick

correction: there was no reply button on truebearing’s post, that’s why this is out of sequence. My f/u was to them. Peace.

  • doncicciofitipaldi

HE SOLD YOU MORONS CONSPIRACT THEORIES AND PARANOIA, silly books, a little religion, some propaganda and bought made over $25M last year. BRAVO TO GLEN. THERE’S A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE. I bet you he laughs himself to sleep every night wondering how he managed to pull this off.

    • clw

That’s your opinion. What do you care what we like or believe? It’s afree country. I’m not a huge Beck fan, but he gets his facts straight and has exposed the liberal ideology for all to see. Why are you so angry, and what do you care what he does, or we do? Maybe I just answered my own question…

      • doncicciofitipaldi

Hi facts aren’t straight at all and they don’t even stand up to th elightest of scutiny. It’s not a “liberal idology”. It’s about the complete nonsense he utters every day without any real evidence. He resembles a preacher or minister more than a political commentator. He’s selling you theories that are unprovable.
