On September 12, 2011, Americans can visit the new 9/11 Memorial in New York City to pay their respects to the victims of the Al Qaeda attack and see the progress made on the rebuilt WTC towers.

The names of the nearly 3,000 victims will be listed on the memorial. A variety of shops, offices, a park, and the subway system will be open to the public as well. Port Authority Executive Director Chris Ward released a series of construction-site photos showing progress made since construction began.
