Michael Barone is undeniably one of Washington’s most astute political historians. And his unique insights into today’s political era often include the kinds of statements that make policymakers and the media sit up and listen.
Barone sat down for an interview with TheDC’s Ginni Thomas and explained how — and why — public opinion has seen such huge political shifts during the last five years.
“We have moved into an era of what I call ‘open field’ politics,” Barone told TheDC, “and in that period we’ve seen a lot of oscillation of voter opinion.”
