The organizers of a new Super PAC in support of Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain have one goal: Make the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO more visible in early voting states like Iowa and New Hampshire.

Even though Cain has risen to the top tier of polls, it’s well known that his rivals are far better organized in those states.

“Herman Cain has proven he is a top-tier candidate,” Americans for Herman Cain campaign director Jordan Gehrke said. “Now he needs a top-tier early state operation.” (RELATED: Candidates attack Cain and his ‘9-9-9’ plan)

“We intend to augment the great job his team has done and provide reinforcements in these critical early states with some of the top political operatives in the country,” he said. “We’re going to build the voter contact operation Herman Cain needs to become our party’s nominee.”

But Gehrke said the finance operation is being built by “many of the same people who raised over $30 million for tea party candidates such as Allen West, Sharron Angle, Christine O’Donnell and Ken Buck in 2010 … We’re still finalizing the team — plan to make an announcement soon.”

Gehrke is a young operative who worked on Angle’s unsuccessful campaign for the U.S. Senate in Nevada. Politico reported that he was “associated with Base Connect — “a direct mail firm that has been accused of over-charging campaigns.”

Asked by The Daily Caller how much money he hopes to raise, Gehrke said, “I don’t want to get into specifics, but I’ll say that the same tactics that worked in 2010 for tea party candidates like Allen West and Sharron Angle are being deployed here. Herman is the real tea party candidate this cycle. Funding is not going to be an issue.”
