Rick Perry came out with a new ad yesterday. You probably missed it — what with all the Herman Cain news…
But it’s a pretty good one. Heck, even the Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin — not known for being much of a Perry fan — says this is “his best ad so far.”
An old political maxim is to “hang a lantern on your problem.” The point is that instead of hiding your weakness, it’s even shrewder to argue your weakness is actually a strength. Perry, of course has struggled in the debates, and so, the “I’m a doer, not a talker,” line is quite intentional.
