Baby Weiner!

It’s official: The member turned household-name thanks to his member, has reproduced.

Former New York Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner — who spent much of his 2011 summer dealing with the fall out from several inappropriate picture-tweets to women who were not his wife — is now the father of a new baby boy.

Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, gave birth on Wednesday to Jordan Zane Weiner. The child weighed in at 7 pounds, the New York Post reported on Thursday.

The little Weiner is likely welcome news to the power couple whose year was defined by Weiner’s sex scandal.

As most will remember, scandal erupted in late May when Weiner tweeted a photo of his groin to a 21-year-old Twitter follower. Though initially denying he sent the photo, when other explicit evidence surfaced, the New York Democrat was forced to come clean and resign.

“We will weather this,” Weiner told reporters of his marriage with Abedin. “I love her very much, and she loves me.”

Saturday, according to the New York Post, Hillary Clinton was one of the guests at a baby shower for Abedin. New York Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz were also in attendance.
