No debates between now and the Iowa caucuses, you say? Here’s an attempt to remind Iowans of Gingrich’s debate prowess. (Note the first scene — where the other candidates are nodding as Gingrich talks.)
I’m told this is the opening salvo in a major Gingrich ad buy in Iowa for ads to air between now and the caucuses.
The ad text is as follows:
Clip 1: “The American people create jobs, not government. (applause)”
Slide: “Newt’s Jobs Plan”
Clip 2: “It starts very simple: lower taxes, less regulation, an American energy plan and actually be positive about people who create jobs – the opposite of the Obama plan.”
Clip 3: “Nothing will turn America around more than on election night when Barack Obama is defeated decisively! (applause)”
