Louisiana State University is poised to win its fourth national football championship — at least if the conjuring of a New Orleans psychic is to be believed.

And with Paul, the World Cup octopus sleeping in Davey Jones’ locker, a psychic may be the closest we’ll get to a solid prediction.

Times-Picayune columnist Jim Kleinpeter sat down with psychic Otis Biggs at the Bottom of the Cup Tea Room, a top-notch New Orleans mystic locale.

The psychic’s bet may be a safe one. The Tigers are playing in their home state as the No. 1 team in the nation, having already beaten their opponent, the University of Alabama, in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban and star running back Trent Richardson may take issue with the mystic’s prediction.

“No one gets hurt. Things will work out good for LSU,” Biggs told the Times-Picayune. “LSU will score at least 20 points. LSU is going to run over them and will have success into next year. They’ve really got it together.”

LSU is returning to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the site of their 2007 national championship win over Ohio State.
