According to Rasmussen, Newt Gingrich now trails Mitt Romney by just 3 percentage points nationally. So it’s probably no surprise Team Romney held a conference call this morning attacking Gingrich — or that they recently launched a new website (and web ad), hitting him:
Susan Molinari’s points, of course, are not new or unique. Many of Gingrich’s former colleagues have voiced similar concerns. The real message seems to be this: “When Newt Gingrich was Speaker of the House, he displayed unreliable leadership and became so controversial that he helped reelect a Democratic president.”
I just wonder if this will have an impact…
