Snooki and JWoww will have to take their fist bumping elsewhere.

MTV has floated the idea of a spin-off featuring the two guidettes in Hoboken, N.J., but the mayor has denied permission to film in the city, The Jersey Journal reports.

In a letter to the network and 495 Productions, who make “Jersey Shore,” Mayor Dawn Zimmer cites concern for the city’s residents:

“Based on protecting public safety and quality of life concerns for Hoboken residents, the city has denied a film permit for a spin-off of the Jersey Shore to be filmed in public locations,” the letter reads.

If the show goes on, it will not be permitted to film past 11 p.m. Given the ladies’ nighttime activities that involve getting tanked, dancing on tables, starting cat fights and so forth, this would present a problem for the show’s plot lines.

“Any attempts to film in a manner that is not permitted without a permit will be dealt with immediately and aggressively by the city of Hoboken,” wrote Zimmer.

So unless the girls plan to stay home and only do GTL — gym, tan and laundry — MTV will have to pick another Garden State locale.

We hear Asbury Park is nice this time of year, and they like loud music.
