Is this an appropriate time to be making Whitney Houston jokes? Not according to Target, which recently pulled a greeting card off its shelves that reads, “Next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider Whitney Houston. That’s all I’m going to say.”
The card was meant to poke fun at Houston’s downfall after her marriage to Bobby Brown.
TMZ reported that the card was available before the singers death, but Target now thinks the card is offensive and is making it unavailable at all of the stores.
“The card was in our stores prior to Ms. Houston’s death,” a Target representative told TMZ. “As soon as this was brought to our attention, we began the process of removing the card from all applicable stores.”
