Ohio State’s big man Jared Sullinger will announce his decision this afternoon to enter into the 2012 NBA draft.

Despite being a lottery pick last year, the Buckeye’s center opted to return for his sophomore season. Sullinger has now decided to forgo his final two years at Ohio State for a chance to play in the big leagues.

The 6-foot-9 Sullinger averaged 17.5 points and 9.3 rebounds this past season, leading Ohio into the NCAA Final Four before they fell to Kansas, 62-64.

ESPN reported that Sullinger “was a two-time AP All-America — the first player to earn that honor in back-t0-back years since North Carolina’s Tyler Hansbrough in 2009. He was also named to this season’s John R. Wooden All-American Team.”

The NBA 2012 Draft will be held on June 28.
