After Chris Brown’s Twitter feuds with celebrities this year, his and Rihanna’s musical collaborations, and the pair’s alleged friendship, Rihanna is finally speaking out about her relationship with the R&B star and convicted felon.
In an interview with Elle Magazine, the 24-year-old singer spoke out about fans’ reactions to her ongoing connection to Brown despite his 2009 assault on her.
“I respect what other people have to say. The bottom line is that everyone thinks differently,” she said, “It’s very hard for me to accept, but I get it.”
And she’s not apologizing for anything. She said, “I’m still going to do what I want to do,” apparently even if that means hanging out with the guy that abused her.
In the end, Rihanna said the assault made her stronger and “gave her guns.”
We can only hope that Brown doesn’t do whatever he wants to do – because we know where that ended for Rihanna the last time.
