Campy violence, pithy one-liners, chilling Johnny Cash background music, and a plot that is all about revenge – you guessed it, that’s the makeup of Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, “Django Unchained.”

In a trailer released Thursday, we see Christoph Waltz (who earned an Academy Award for best supporting actor in Tarantino’s last fim, “Inglourious Basterds”)  as bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz, who teams up with Jamie Foxx’s character, Django, a slave.

Schultz gives Django the promise of freedom and reunion with his long-lost wife if Django helps hunt down three nefarious brothers. The key to Django’s wife lies with Leonardo DiCaprio’s character Calvin Candie, a deliciously evil caricature of a Mississippi plantation owner. We can’t wait to see Leo as a bad guy. (Anyone care to place a bet on whether or not he dies in this film? Tarantino’s antagonists usually don’t fare too well.)

Unfortunately, Tarantino fans will have to wait until later this year to see “Django” — it doesn’t come out until Dec. 25. It’s perfect Christmas Day fun for the whole family! Take your kids!

The Daily Caller gives this trailer four stars and predicts it will be the best film of 2012 or of any year, really.
