Pennsylvania prosecutors may use unaired portions of the Nov. 14 NBC News interview conducted by reporter Bob Costas with Jerry Sandusky.

“On Friday, a prosecutor from the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office contacted an NBC News lawyer asking the network to re-authenticate a full unedited transcript of the Costas interview. Because the network had already released the transcript, and it had been published on a Pennsylvania news website, the network agreed,” msnbc.com reports.

NBC had omitted Sandusky’s pauses because of time constraints, but this could be important evidence against the former Penn State football coach. The alleged child rapist took 16 seconds to answer whether he is “sexually attracted to young boys,” transcripts of the broadcast reveal.
