Citizens of America, consider yourself warned: Charlie Sheen will soon be the President of the United States — or at least, he is going to play one in the upcoming “Machete Kills,” a follow-up to 2010’s “Machete.”
On Thursday, “Machete Kills” director Robert Rodriguez tweeted this photo along with a brief message: “I just cast Charlie Sheen in #machetekills as the President of the United States! Who better? More soon…”
A representative for the tiger blood-loving actor confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that is in talks to join the film.
According to the Internet Movie Database, “Machete Kills” revolves around an ex-Mexican Federal Police officer named Machete. “The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space,” the website’s description reads.
Sheen is following in the footsteps of his father, actor Martin Sheen, who famously played bleeding-heart President Josiah “Jed” Bartlet on “The West Wing.”
Charlie, a former drug addict and porn star dallier, is set to star in the FX series “Anger Management,” which premieres later this month.
