Anthony Davis, the up-and-coming basketball star who will likely be the number one NBA draft pick on Thursday, has trademarked his eyebrows.

Or perhaps more accurately, his eyebrow.

Davis now has a trademark on the phrases “Fear The Brow” and “Raise The Brow,” CNBC reported on Monday.

Although people tell him frequently to cut it, he won’t because “everyone’s talking about it,” Davis said.

Apparently, it was a family business decision. “Me and my family decided to trademark it because it’s very unique,” said Davis. “I don’t want anyone to try to grow a unibrow because of me and then try to make money off of it,” he said.

While certainly strange, perhaps we should be accustomed to athletes capitalizing on their “unique” hair follicles. After all, football player Troy Polamalu’s hair is insured for $1 million.
