Michael Bloomberg is cool

Font Size:

Well, not figuratively. But if you have any doubt that Bloomie is a man of the people… why don’t you just chill?

Via the New York Post, which adds:

When temperatures hit the high 90s a week ago, Bloomberg visited the Bronx Works senior center and called on New Yorkers to turn off “all non-essential appliances.”

“It only takes a couple of minutes to cool off a room,” he said at the time.

Good point! Those sweat-soaked seniors can always beat the heat with an ice-cold beverage, as long as it’s no larger than 16 ounces. Bloomie has got everybody else’s lives all figured out.

Hey, don’t look at us, New Yorkers. You’re the ones who keep electing this guy.

P.S. As usual, David Burge makes a good point I hadn’t considered:

It really is like a Larry the Cable Guy joke, isn’t it? “I tried to put AC in my truck… but I couldn’t find a long enough extension cord!”
