David Letterman may or may not have spoiled the ending to the highly anticipated summer film, “The Dark Knight Rises.”
The third and final installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy doesn’t hit theaters until next Friday, but that old fogie may have just ruined the ending for everyone during a Thursday interview with Anne Hathaway, who plays Catwoman in the movie.
*WARNING: There may or may not be spoilers ahead.
Letterman said that he watched the movie and then told the audience that Batman dies at the end of the film.
A shocked Hathaway shouted, “Dave!” and threw up her arms as if to surrender, saying, “I just want you to know the wrath that you have just invited onto yourself. Chris [Nolan], I had no part in it, I’m sorry.”
So does this mean that Batman/ Bruce Wayne dies?! Or doesn’t die?! We won’t know until July 21, but until then we can continue to gauge Hathaway’s reaction as an admission of truth.
